Jacob P. Gilfillan
Jacob P. Gilfillan was born in Peoria, Illinois, and has remained a proud resident of Central Illinois. After graduating from Metamora Township High School, he attended Illinois Central College where he focused his studies on Political Science.
At the firm, Jacob works with his father, Joseph P. Gilfillan. They concentrate their practice in the fields of residential and commercial real estate, business/corporate law, and estate planning and probate. Jacob also works with Peoria Title LLC, a title insurance company, and assists with real estate closings and works to resolve title issues. Jacob is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Peoria County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Peoria Area Association of Realtors (PAAR).
Jacob attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2013. Jacob then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate Degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He excelled in his studies, receiving multiple certificates of merit. In 2016, Jacob graduated Magna Cum Laude and in the top 10% of his law school class. While in law school, he competed in intra-school mock trial and focused on pre-trial and trial skills courses to prepare him for practice. Jacob was licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2016.
